What's Selling Where: Highlights From The Upcoming replica watches Of Knightsbridge Sale

Watches of Knightsbridge ("WoK? is a watch-specific auction house located in Knightsbridge (a central district of London) that we probably don't give enough attention to here at HODINKEE. WoK consistently provides some of the most interesting fake watch catalogs if you are looking at the sub-$10,000 fake watch market. What I really like about WoK is that the replica watches are typically in "barn find?condition, by which I mean a fake watch that is being sold in original condition probably consigned from the original owner or original owner's family, not something that has changed hands among dealers a few times (and perhaps had a few changes) before ending up for sale at a major auction house. WoK typically has a range of replica watches from some cool military replica watches under $500 to a fake watch or two that would go for $20,000+.

Below are 10 lots to fake watch from the upcoming sale. If you are interested in bidding on anything, I think it is worthwhile following up with WoK (or any other auction house) for more additional high-resolution pictures, including of the movement https://www.replicaimitation.com. As always, "bring a loupe."

Lot 298: Omega Chronograph With Calibre 33.3 And White Enamel Dial

The Omega calibre 33.3 continues to gain fans among fake watch collectors as a great movement that is found in some chronographs with great dials and cases. And while not every Omega with a 33.3 gets my heart racing, this one definitely does. I love the white enamel dial (please note that it does have a hairline crack in it), the olive-shaped pusher, the large 37.5 mm size, and the reset pusher built into the crown. If you are looking for a classic Omega chronograph with a calibre 33.3 chronograph movement, this is your watch. The movement does look like it could use a service and shows some wear.

This Omega has an estimate of £4,500 - £5,500.

Lot 331: Replica Rolex "Paul Newman?Daytona Reference 6262

This is the cover lot of the sale and for good reason. It is just a great Newman. What more is there to say? I expect this to do very well. It includes a 1975 sales receipt from replica watches of Switzerland in Southampton (the price was £134) and was serviced by Replica Rolex in 2013. If you are interested in learning more about Paul Newman Daytonas, check out our Reference Points piece.

This Replica Rolex has an estimate of £30,000 - £40,000.

Lot 328: Replica Rolex Chronograph Reference 3320

When I say "Rolex chronograph,?a Daytona probably pops in your head, but it is important to note how cool Replica Rolex chronographs were in the decades before Replica Rolex introduced its Le Mans / Daytona. This is a great one with a lot of detail and a beautiful dial and case. The strap even looks like it is from the same period of the watch. It is good to note that the movement has some substantial wear and may need some work.

This Replica Rolex has an estimate of £6,000 - £8,000.

Lot 411: Art Deco Silver Replica Rolex

This Replica Rolex is a fake watch that I could see Jay Gatsby wearing. While Replica Rolex wristwatches from the 1920s do not always catch my eye, this Tank-style one definitely did. The dial with the exploding numerals is something to behold. It is truly Art Deco and seems to be an excellent size ?27 mm wide and 43 mm long, which is not all that different from a Jaeger-LeCoultre Grande Reverso Ultra Thin, which has a case 27.4 mm wide and 46.8 mm long. The engraved case is silver, which is fairly easy to dent and of course prone to oxidation patina. Silver basically stopped being used for cases in the 1920s due to those properties. This fake watch is a real sleeper in the sale.

This Replica Rolex has an estimate of £700 - £900.

Lots 441 And 442: Seiko UK Military Helicopter Pilot Chronographs

I have sung the praises of Seiko chronographs built for British military helicopter pilots a few years ago and I still think they are great accessible quartz military watches. Interestingly, they use promethium as lume rather than the more typical tritium of the time. WoK always seems to have a good group of sub-$1,000 UK military watches. I thought I would count these two lots as one lot given the similarities.

Lot 441 (issued in 1983) has an estimate of £250 - £350 and Lot 442 (issued in 1986) also has an estimate of £250 - £350.

Lot 469: Vacheron Constantin 333

Okay, this is something that caught my eye, not for its aesthetic qualities, but more for its rarity and the estimate. While you may have heard of the Vacheron 222 (Paul Boutros wore one a lot in 2013), the 333 is far less common and was designed to be the successor to the 222. The 333 was made for just one year, in 1985, primarily in quartz with some automatics available as well. While this fake watch is not my cup of tea, getting a super-rare Vacheron for possibly under $1,000 is not an everyday occurrence.

This Vacheron has an estimate of £500 - £800.

Lot 222: Technicum Du Locle "School?Watch

While this isn't really a fake watch that would necessarily stand out in a crowd, I think it is really neat. The "Technicum du Locle?on the dial signified the Technicum Neuchâtelois in Le Locle school that trained aspiring watchmakers. As part of the course, students were required to achieve certain milestones and those milestones were often making a fake watch with certain functionality. One of the earlier stages would be to assemble a manual wind fake watch that would be rated as a chronometer. This is one of those replica watches and even includes the original chronometer certificate, which shows that the fake watch was assembled by Leopold Berthoud. Based on my research, it appears that Mr. Berthoud went on to work for Ulysse Nardin for over 40 years and at one point during the darkest hours of the "quartz crisis" was the company's only watchmaker, relegated to primarily repairing old Ulysse Nardin marine chronometers and deck watches. So if you are interested in Ulysse Nardin's history, this would be a cool fake watch for you.

For comparison, another school fake watch is listed by Bachman & Scher for 5,600 euro and back in 2010, Christie's sold an 18k fake watch from the same institution with a guilloche enamel dial for CHF 4,000.

This "school watch?has an estimate of £1,000 - £1,500.

Lot 198: Longines Chronograph With Calibre 13ZN And Stepped Bezel

Move along. Nothing to see here?Just look at the beautiful dial, the stepped bezel, the thin steel hands, and the contrast of the white (non-luminous) paint and silver printing on a black dial. Check out the beauty of the ornate serif numerals on the 0-60 seconds/minutes scale as well as on the registers. That style of numeral is found on some of the Longines replica watches from that late 1930s period (this dates to circa 1937) and I absolutely love it. The lack of radium has helped to preserve its dial over the last 70+ years. This fake watch has some definite similarities to the one John Goldberger showed us in his episode of Talking Watches. The case is 34 mm and looks like it may have been polished, but it is fantastic.

The legendary calibre 13ZN movement does look like it could use a service.

This Longines has an estimate of £2,800 - £3,200.

Lot 194: Longines Pilot's Chronograph Reference 23711

This Longines is an uncommon ultra-large 47 mm monopusher pilot's chronograph with rotating bezel. I have seen a few come up for sale this year, so I think word is getting around about the value of these replica watches and more are surfacing. It is really a cool-looking fake watch and although too big for my personal tastes, is a neat piece and one of the most valuable vintage Longines replica watches you will find.

This Longines has an estimate of £18,000 - £22,000 (although to be honest I am not sure it will hit that range).

Lot 517: Cartier Lighter Circa 1930

Last week, I showed you a Dunhill lighter with a clock in it. This week, I thought I would show a very cool and rare Cartier lighter with a clock in it. The movement is correctly signed European fake watch Co.

This Cartier has an estimate of £5,000 - £7,000.

Bonus: Lot 449: Sinn Reference 140/142 Formerly Owned By Helmut Sinn

To add an eleventh notable lot to this article, Ben told me about a Sinn he found back in 2012 from Helmut Sinn. That fake watch has found its way to being consigned in this WoK auction. Sinn replica watches have gained quite a group of fans for the company's no-nonsense approach to creating tough, dependable, and appealing mechanical wristwatches. This Sinn has the Lemania 5100 automatic chronograph movement in it and includes original correspondence from Helmut Sinn.

This Sinn has an estimate of £1,500 - £2,000.
